Service Advisor/Yard Supervisor – Up to $35/hour

We are looking for a full-time and experienced Service Advisor/Yard Supervisor to manage and direct the entire boat yard, service, and road service teams while also serving as the primary Service Writer. You must have strong boat industry experience, be able to drive boats, operate forklifts, and keep every employee working efficiently and productively every day.

Key Responsibilities:
– Act as Service Advisor: greet customers, assess needs, write detailed work orders, provide estimates, timelines, and schedule service appointments
– Serve as the main point of contact for customers to explain repairs, provide updates, answer questions, and follow up for satisfaction
– Directly supervise and lead all boat yard employees, service technicians, and road service crew
– Assign daily tasks with clear step-by-step instructions and follow up to ensure maximum efficiency and output
– Oversee all haul outs, launches, winter storage, spring commissioning, shrink wrapping, and boat movements
– Operate forklifts and personally drive/maneuver boats on water and on trailers as needed
– Coordinate road service requests and dispatch crews
– Maintain shop and yard organization, safety standards, and high productivity levels
– Train, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance, quality, and customer service standards
– Work closely with ownership to optimize workflows and solve operational bottlenecks

Requirements:
– 5+ years of hands-on experience in boat yards, marinas, or marine service operations
– 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role (proven ability to lead and micro-manage a team)
– Previous experience as a Service Writer / Service Advisor or strong customer-facing marine service experience
– Must be experienced driving boats of all types (power, pontoon, sail, etc.)
– Must be experienced operating forklifts in a boat yard environment
– Strong mechanical knowledge (Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, etc. is a plus)
– Detail-oriented leader with excellent customer service and communication skills
– Comfortable giving direct instructions and enforcing accountability
– Valid driver’s license and boating license

Technician – Up to $35/hour

We are looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our service team at Greenwood Lake Marina. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of boats and marine engines (inboard, outboard, and sterndrive). All training and certifications will be provided at no cost to the employee!

Key Responsibilities:
– Perform engine repairs, tune-ups, and scheduled maintenance
– Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems
– Conduct haul-outs, winterizations, and spring recommissioning
– Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Requirements:
– 3+ years of marine or automotive mechanic experience
– Strong knowledge of outboard and inboard engines
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– Valid boater’s license (or obtain within 3 months)
– Must obtain Honda, Mercury, & Yamaha Certifications within 2 years

Technician’s Apprentice – Up to $22/hour

We are seeking a motivated Junior Technician to support our service department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in the marine industry with hands-on training and mentorship from our experienced mechanics. All training and certifications will be provided at no cost to the employee!

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist with boat maintenance, repairs, and detailing
– Perform basic engine services and fluid changes
– Help with winterization, shrink-wrapping, and launch prep
– Keep the shop clean and organized

Requirements:
– Previous mechanical or technician experience (auto, marine, or similar)
– Eagerness to learn and strong work ethic
– Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
– Valid driver’s license
– Valid boater’s license (or obtain within first 3 months)
– Must become Honda, Mercury, & Yamaha Certified within 5 years

General Laborer – Up to $18/hour

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to provide hands-on support throughout the marina. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and wants to contribute to daily marina operations with no specialized skills required!

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist with boat hauling, launching, and yard organization
– Help with dock and grounds cleaning and maintenance
– Move equipment, supplies, and materials as needed
– Support winterization, shrink-wrapping, and spring setup
– Keep work areas clean and organized

Requirements:
– No previous experience required – training provided
– Ability to perform physical tasks and lift 50+ lbs
– Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
– Reliable, punctual, and a team player
– Reliable form of transportation
– Valid boating license or obtain one within 6 months
